We’re free to choose what life we want to live. We can become anything with anyone and wherever we want to. We can do whatever, and that’s the most difficult.
oung documentarist Honza (26) is going to Greece where his father has a boat. He wants to document how locals are perceiving the refugee crisis. He meets his siblings Matyas (24) and Natalka (22), whom his father hired as crew, at the harbor.
Right from the start, Matyas looks down on Honza. Maytas feels the need to beat Honza to prove that he is the alpha male.
Meanwhile, Honza doesn’t let this faze him and takes it easy. He wonders about idealistic freedom, which the siblings imagined far from home. He also starts to be curious about the relationship between Matyas and Natalka.
How difficult is it to define the boundaries of sibling’s love?
Ever since childhood, Matyas and Natalka have been encouraged to chase after their goals, whatever they may be. But this is burdensome to Matyas, as he feels overwhelmed with all the possibilities.
Fearing failure, Matyas persuades Natalka to run away from their responsibilities together.
From freedom to freedom
Hearing their story, Honza forgets the purpose of his own journey. He becomes closer to Natalka, who is changing her perception about freedom due to his influence.
Matyas doesn’t accept their relationship very well, and he acts like a jealous lover. Honza becomes agitated and starts to defend their relationship.
Finally, really free
Marine roadmovie Into the Wind asks about the question of freedom multiple times. Although everyone has their own illusions of freedom, they all have the same goal. Hoist the sails and disappear – Into the Wind.
But is this ok?
nto the Wind is an ambitious project which couldn’t have been created without a special team of people working on it. Because of a boat capacity and the whole conception of project, the less people was in staff, the greater responsibilities and requirements were on each member. Huge thanks to the whole team, to all the naughty ones and all dollops of love.
We’ve encountered many troubles during the journey. Fortunately, we have people who care about us.
Log-book has our honest notes and thoughts during the sail.
